WIESBADEN – More goods than ever have been transported in Germany in 2015. According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the volume of transport in 2015 is expected to have risen 1.1% on the previous year, reaching 4.5 billion tonnes. Road and crude oil transport via pipelines contributed to the growth whereas air transportremained constant. Decline was recorded for rail transport, inland waterways and maritime transport.
