I have read the data protection notices and information in accordance with Article 13 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for registration and for participation in the event as a speaker. I agree that my data will be processed for the purposes stated in the information.

Furthermore, I state that I have consent of all co-authors stated by myself that their data can be stored and processed in accordance with this privacy protection notice. This includes that their names will be published via the conference website.

I hereby give my consent for videos and photographs to be taken for additional live-streaming, the media coverage and online conference documentation.

Photographs and videos will be taken during the event and published in various media. These photographs are associated with the visual representation of persons present who can be seen as participants in a group or as an audience, without being singled out individually. The selection of people is random. Images will be displayed on our internet, intranet, print media and social media channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter) and Mastodon).

The presentations will be live-streamed via YouTube, and the recordings will be made publicly available as video on demand on the YouTube channel of the Federal Statistical Office as part of conference documentation.

I am also informed that this declaration of consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. In the event of effective revocation with regard to the recordings made, they will be removed from the Destatis online services. The legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation remains unaffected.

With this notice, we are fulfilling our obligation to inform you in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR about the personal data you have provided and that we have collected.

Personal data consists of all information related to an identified or identifiable natural person.

1. Legal basis of the data processing

The basis for the processing of your data is the consent to be given by you pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. We need this information for the planning and organization of the Conference on Anonymization of Integrated and Georeferenced Data.

With regard to publications (conference documentation, media coverage and live broadcast), the following is planned:

At the Federal Statistical Office's website at www.destatis.de, preceding the conference it is planned to publish the conference program containing your and your co-authors names and affiliations, the title of your presentation, the abstract of your presentation and potentially your portrait photo and Curriculum Vitae with information on your person, in particular on your professional activity and career. Shortly after the event, it is planned to make the presentation slides available as free downloads.

Additional reporting on the conference includes:

  • Social media: X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and Mastodon
  • the Federal Statistical Office's website (www.destatis.de) and intranet

For the live broadcast, it is planned to offer an online transmission of sessions via YouTube. The recordings of the conference will be made publicly available.

Publication reach:

  1. Conference documentation printed: Available to all conference participants.
  2. Reporting on the Federal Statistical Office's Intranet: Employees of the Federal Statistical Office can view and retrieve the data.
  3. Social media: The Federal Statistical Office's press office will publicise the event via X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and Mastodon. Accessible worldwide at any time by anyone (Internet).
  4. YouTube broadcasting (live): The livestream will be available online and thereby technically available worldwide.

3. Duration of data storage

The above-mentioned data will be kept for the period of time necessary for the achievement of the above-mentioned purposes.

Regarding the storage period of your data collected for management of participants, with the exception of contact data given below: This data will be deleted at the latest by 28.02.2025.

Regarding the storage period of the video recording, photos made and other data gathered for conference documentation and media coverage: The above-mentioned videos and photos will be used by us exclusively for the above-mentioned purpose and published as listed above. The raw material of the videos and photos will be stored electronically at a central location and deleted after 2 years at the latest. The finished product will be deleted after 6 years at the latest. If the recordings were available on the Internet, they will be deleted to the extent that this is possible for the organizer.

The Federal Statistical Office retains your contact data for the purpose of maintaining contact with you regarding future scientific colloquia, conferences and publications. This use is based on Article 6 (1) a GDPR in order to be able to draw your attention to our events. Of course, you have the option to object to this use. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, please send an informal reply e-mail to AnigeD@destatis.de.

4. Data recipient/processor/data security

Personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by us and by our external service providers. For us, this is the Federal Information Technology Center as the central IT service provider for the federal administration, Bernkasteler Straße 8, 53175 Bonn, Germany.

5. Data subject rights

You are entitled to the following rights vis-à-vis us in accordance with Articles 15 et seq. Data Protection Regulation with regard to the data concerning you and if the conditions specified therein are met: Information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. In addition, you may revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation remains unaffected.

If, in your view, there has been a breach of the provisions of data protection law, you also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority - The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information - Graurheindorfer Straße 153 - 53117 Bonn, Germany - about the processing of your personal data by us (Article 77 GDPR).

6. Person responsible and data protection officer

The Federal Statistical Office, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 11, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany, represented by the President, is responsible for processing the data provided.
